For your musical enjoyment, this a list of Green Valley based bands and ensembles.

 

Green Valley Stage Band

The Green Valley Stage Band has been delighting audiences since 1990. The 18 piece band performs for dances, concerts, and charitable events throughout Green Valley and Southern Arizona. The band performs a variety of big band music ranging from the 40’s and 50’s to the present. Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Perez Prado, Hank Williams, Beatles, and more make up the names of the various bands and styles performed

Old Pueblo Jazz Band

The Old Pueblo Jazz Band is a Green Valley based group of professionals playing mostly Dixieland music. They often give free concerts and have been known to step outside of the Dixieland genre.
 

Santa Cruz Summer Winds

Organized in May 2013, the Santa Cruz Summer Winds is a 30+ member concert band located in Green Valley, Arizona. The bands forms during the summer and performs patriotic music, show tunes and comprehensive wind ensemble music. The band is comprised of members from Green Valley, Tucson and surrounding cities. Bavarian Brass Band of Green Valley

The Bavarian Brass Band of Green Valley is a band of local musicians who play music in the German traditional “oompah band” style. The band consists of brass and woodwind instruments and a drummer. October usually finds the Bavarian Brass Band very busy around Green Valley and Tucson playing for Oktoberfests. The band also serves as the local ceremonial band for patriotic occasions such as Memorial Day, Veterans Day and Pearl Harbor Day.
 

Green Valley Saxophone Quartet

The saxophone quartet is a fall and winter organization that was formed in 2011. The quartet performs in Green Valley, Tucson and Nogales during special events and for entertainment at local retirement homes and charity events. The group’s repertoire includes music from many genres and they can provide music for almost any occasion. Quartet members are Bill Krinke – soprano and alto saxes; Susan Krinke – alto saxophone; Steve Strange – tenor saxophone and Lance Hoopes – baritone saxophone.

The Green Valley Brass Ensemble offers Green Valley musicians that play brass instruments an opportunity to rehearse and perform chamber music. The ensemble rehearses weekly form October through April. The ensemble performs during the Green Valley Chamber Music Society series, during church services and at senior citizens' facilities.
